Storyline
Plot Summary:After Bond helps Russian officer Georgi Koskov (’Jeroen Krabbe’(qv)) make a daring defection to the West, the intelligence community is shocked when Koskov is abducted from his remote hiding place. Bond leaps into action, following a trail that leads to the gorgeous Kara (’Maryam d’Abo’(qv)), who plays Bond as easily as she plays her Stradivari cello. As they unravel a complex weapons scheme with global implications, they are forced into hair-raising chases, a riveting jailbreak and an epic battle in the Afghanistan desert with tanks, airplanes and a legion of freedom fighters on horseback.
We all know that people in the prehistorical period had to fighted not only with other person but also with natural resoures for existence. They had to hunt quarrys and gather fruits, even cut down trees to build houses. However, as technology improved, many people are aware of human activities have great influence on our living earth and raise a big argumentation on this issue. Some people claim that human activities are damage our living earth, the others advocate that human activity makes the earth a better place to live. In my opinion, I consider that human activities spoil our living earth seriously and we need to do something to improve this situation.
Firsty , our living earth is being harmed by human activity because people overuse natural resource in the present time. As everybody knows, the population on our earth nowadays has increase rapidly so that more people than before have to consume more food preparation and daily goods. To detailed the above description, natural resources will become less and less when population continue growing. The truth is in two hundred and five, the average atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration increased 0.6 percent over the high in two hundred and four, representing the largest annual increase ever recorded, according to the Washington-based Worldwatch Institute. In addition, an estimated twenty percent of the world’s coral reefs had been destroyed, as with twenty percent of mangrove forests. It takes 20 trees to keep one baby in disposable diapers for two years. The average life span of a cell phone is only 14 months. Every day, our planet receives enough solar energy to heat every home in the world for one year – free! "Heal the world," urges multi-awarded singer Michael Jackson. "Make it a better place, for you and for me and the entire human race." But how ? There are many things people can do to help clean up this world we are living such as saving energy , water , paper , reuse funiture before throw them away and avoide most plastic , etc. Many tasks – like reading, writing, studying, and sewing – can be done quite comfortable by the light of a window. And using daylight offers twin benefits: It’s free and doesn’t pollute. Don’t leave the water running. A full gallon of water can run out of your kitchen faucet in less than sixty seconds! Turn off the water when brushing teeth. That will save one to two gallons of water each time your brush. . Don’t use disposable razors and blades. Since the razors are made of plastic, not only do they consume high quantities of energy and toxic chemicals during their manufacture, they don’t degrade in landfill. Use glass dishes and cups and metal silverware instead of plastic. In fact, avoid buying anything that’s plastic unless it’s extremely durable, you can use it many times over, and you have no other option. Recycle used ribbons, bows, and decorative wrappings. If you take care when people’s unwrapping their presents, they can reuse the wraps at least one time. They can store used paper and accessories in a convenient place so that they can use them for the next holiday occasion. If people can’t recycle something, they should reuse it. Buy products that will last. With plastic and glass bottles, don’t throw them away. Use them to hold leftovers in the kitchen, to hold paper clips in the office… And man can buy biodegradable products, avoid most plastics, if possible by choosing paper instead of plastic. Thus, the Earth is hurt. Certainly, the Earth is good place to live for human. However, it is only for human. We should think about other creatures and keep the Earth healthy. We should make the Earth a better place to live for every creatures and the Earth itself. “There are ways to get there” , croons Michael Jackson. “ If you care enough for the living , make a little space , make a better place” .
CAN YOU BELIEVE THEY WON’T LET WOMEN BECOME SEALS!?
I WAS TOLD YESTERDAY BY THE NAVY RECRUITER THAT I CANNOT BECOME A SEAL JUST BECAUSE I AM A WOMAN! I AM JUST AS TOUGH AS ANY MAN IN HERE. I COULD PROBABLY TAKE HALF OF YOU GUYS DOWN IN 2 MINUTES! I’M LIVID HERE! Do i have any recourse? Like writing a letter to my congressman or suing the living daylights out of those motherf*ckers!?
Would anybody buy my novel if I published it?
Okay I am fifteen years old and I have written a novel about a romantic/horror. My two main characters are Dismay and Jareth. Dismay wakes up one mourning to find a moon in the the sky. Now this is something she has never seen before. And to her amazement it was impossible to see the moon during daylight hours. So her friend, Alera sends an alert to the "Help Committee" which is her form of government. Well when she takes a shower the steam in the bathroom smells different to her. Apparently the change in scent was knock-out gas. A year goes by and during this year over one thousand modifications have been made to her body. The lady she meets in a white coat; who I named Dr. White, just dumps all this information on to her. And so Dr. White gives her the option to find a vampire and bring him back with her. If she is successful Dr. White will give her that one year she had lost, back to her. Well Dismay falls in love with this vampire, ( oh and by the way one of those modifications turned Dismay into a vampire) and doesn’t know what to do. Because now she is married and has fallen deeply in love with Jareth. Well she makes the wrong choice and that causes the love of her life to die. And the final question that Dismay asks herself is "Can I live with this?" I’ve already written the first three chapters of my next book and I can kind of see where it’s going. And my parents are willing to invest 10,000 dollars to have this published. If I want I can go look for an agent and have this professionally published by a well known publisher.
Need help with an urban fox hunting our chickens.?
We live in the burbs and bought 5 hens a year ago. Up until March of this year we have had no problems, but we now have a fox that knows the chickens are there and even comes late in the morning well after sunrise and early in the evening before the sun has even thought about setting. It has killed 3 out of the 5 hens so far and one of the two that are left has a broken foot from the attack just today. We have been trying to lock them up in time at night so he cant get to them, but sometimes we aren’t fast enough. The coop is good. I built it strong, so no worries there. We have called animal control and have had no help. It also kind of worries us because of our kids and the neighbor kids that live around us all playing outside with this thing coming in broad daylight and it has no fear. The first attack it killed one of the hens and still tried to get around my wife and I to get at the rest while we were rounding them up. I built a home made crossbow, but that is going to take a close and accurate shot to down the thing since discharging a .22 or anything bigger would bring the cops a knocking. I was just wondering if anyone knew of anything else we could try to ward it off. We thought about getting a rooster, but we don’t know how effective it will be, plus it might piss off the neighbors. Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks!
Where’s a good place to toke up that no one will find?
it’s broad daylight and my dad is home. I would go out for a walk in the park but… like I said, it’s broad daylight. normally when I smoke during the day I go to this little nook in my backyard where no one can look over the fence or anything, but like I said my dad is home and he would probably smell it or see me out the window. I live in a pretty suburban area so there aren’t many groupings of trees or anything too near my home. are there any places that you like to go toke up where you know you probably won’t be seen? or I am just screwed until I get a better opportunity?
Cap and Trade etc — Is it worth it?
A congressman put it pretty good. She said that even if you grant the enviro-nuts that global warming is happening and that all the changes they want to make will do what they say it will do. OK with me? So cap and trade, running the coal business out of bussiness, making cars more unsafe but lighter, taxing the living daylights out of all forms of productive activity will amount to a grand total of one half of one percent of a reduction in the planet’s CO2 (emissions). So what is that going to do really? Will that make any difference at all? Will this infinitesimal difference be worth making the United State of America a third world country like France?
make that a pretty congresswoman.

could this be an orb? i don’t know what to think.?
we live in a 2 year old house that we built on land that used to be an orchard and has since been made into a subdivision. for the last 6 months my husband (he just admitted this recently) has been seeing a moving point of light. it looks like an l.e.d. light that is white with a blueish tint. it moves, not really fast, but it moves horizontally for about a foot or two. he’s seen it 4 times (once during the daylight), and i just saw it myself a week ago. then a couple of nights ago i saw a green flash of light right after i turned the tv off and laid the remote down on the night stand. it was really bright, i turned on the light to see if there was a phone or some kind of electronic that would make that bright flash but there was nothing there. my husband also felt something touch his foot over the blankets while he slept one day (he works overnights as a police officer and sleeps during the day.)
Why does my chest and neck get itchy in the heat?
Hi,
I live in AZ and now that the weather has hit 110 degrees I’m noticing a very uncomfortable itching sensation whenever I go out into the heat, even if it’s just a quick walk from my air conditioned car to another air conditioned building. The skin on my neck (both front and back) and chest (the width of my collar bone and length of my breast bone) gets horribly itchy, it’s almost painful and scratching does not relieve it. I’m not sure if it has to do with direct sun exposure or not- the back of my neck is rarely exposed to the sun- but it does tend to occur during daylight hours, which might just contribute to the heat. Anyways, does anyone know what this is? Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks,
crazy story! dog attacked by man!?
this mans lab jumped the fence into the neighbors yard and the neighbors Chihuahua and the lab were playing. nobody was getting to rough all the sudden the Chihuahuas owner went ballistic and ran into the backyard with a knife and stabbed the lab in the but narrowly missing the spine. the labs owner came out to get his dog and saw the other man trying to land a second blow and screamed at him to stop. crazy guy ran into his house and left the wounded dog and owner as well as his own dog outside. the labs owner rushed him to the vet and got him stitches and is planning to press charges. this is a true story i heard from the man while he was calling the police in petsmart as they were sewing his lab up. i would probably have hauled off and beat the living daylights out of the other owner and then forced him into a mental hospital were he belongs! animal abuse is a gateway crime who would have been next? if ppl think he was worried about his own dog then think ..he left it outside with lab and other owner plus the lab wasnt attacking the smaller dog because the two dogs had been allowed to play before with owners present and not. what are your thoughts on all of this?
sry bout the double post im experiencing some com trouble today
me and several ppl in petsmart tried to comfort the guy he thought his buddy was gonna die! luckily the vets said he should be perfectly fine
its the trauma from the attack they are worried about
thats just it the dog WASNT a strange dog these ppl arranged playdates with their pets
the cops took the side of the man with the lab by the way
yeah their is a vet in my petsmart:) i think its banfield? i dont use them.
