"Eraser"/

I dont know how i got it, 2 burns on my left hand and I have tryd almost every thing, please help..

If you were a dry erase board: eraser, what would you feel?
I am writing a poem and if you were a dry erase board eraser what would you feel, taste, smell, hear, and what would you like about being an eraser, what would you dislike about being an eraser?

Why do pencils have horrible erasers?
Also why do mechanical pencils have the eraser in a spot where if the eraser is used too much you can not put lead in it?
They should stop putting them on b/c nobody uses them, they dont work and we buy erasers anyways.

How can I stop this stupid blister from hurting?
I was rubbing an eraser and I got a burn on my thumb, and now I have a blister! I am so tempted to pop it but I know better! How can I stop it from hurting? I rub it a lot, but I really try to stop. Help me!

Has anyone ever heard of this teatment for brown recluse spide bite?
Has anyone ever tried or heard of this treatment for the brown recluse spider bite? I was bitten three weeks ago and with this treatment there is just a small scar the size of pencil eraser. This treatmnet comes from my grandfathers journal . He was full blood cherokee indian and lived to be 104. I was searching his journal for treatments and discovered this. As soon as you realize the bite is poisonous, Obtain a smoked and cured hog jowl { it must be cured and smoked by natural wood and brine salt. . Slice a thin slice place over bite and cover with white clean cloth, keep dry for four days. donot disturb. When the area begins to itch remove cloth and apply equal[ pressure in a cicular motion around center of bite.don’t apply hydrogen peroxide.. After three days remove and press on bite boundary until poison pill or head realeses from wound . rinse with cool water allow to air dry.now apply dry cloth , cover for two days keep dry. the wound healed in twenty days. I hope this helps some one it did me and please share it.

Where can I find skinny erasers?
When I was in college, I used to buy these erasers that are just like click-erasers, but they were really skinny, which was perfect for fixing mistakes in my drawings, without erasing a lot of extra stuff. Now I can’t seem to find them ANYWHERE! Help!! They ones I bought were black, had a clicker at the end to expose more eraser, and the eraser was really skinny and white.
I’m not retarded, I have checked Staples, Office Depot, and various artist shops. If you’re able to supply me a link to an online shop, that would be great!

How do you clean a Dry erase Board, after it seems stained?
I have a really nice one by Quartet, but when I moved I left words in black erasable marker ink on it, and it seems to have set in. I did remove most of it… but there’s still is like a shadow of the words that are visible. What to use where I don’t ruin the slippery surface, I tried magic eraser, it helped but I can still see light wording.

Would laser surgery be possible to remove these moles?
http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/47/l779eae8b977ff384900ff5.jpg They’re flat and both the size of a eraser…. I’ve never had a girlfriend because of these moles

Too tall to ride at six flags: darien lake?
Hi, guys I’m 6′5" and I want to know if I am to tall to ride Superman, Mind Eraser etc. I know for Superman the height restriction is 74", but I am 77". Will I get turned down? I would like to know now so I don’t have to deal with the embarrassment when I’m there. Thanks!

"Living

We all know that people in the prehistorical period had to fighted not only with other person but also with natural resoures for existence. They had to hunt quarrys and gather fruits, even cut down trees to build houses. However, as technology improved, many people are aware of human activities have great influence on our living earth and raise a big argumentation on this issue. Some people claim that human activities are damage our living earth, the others advocate that human activity makes the earth a better place to live. In my opinion, I consider that human activities spoil our living earth seriously and we need to do something to improve this situation.
Firsty , our living earth is being harmed by human activity because people overuse natural resource in the present time. As everybody knows, the population on our earth nowadays has increase rapidly so that more people than before have to consume more food preparation and daily goods. To detailed the above description, natural resources will become less and less when population continue growing. The truth is in two hundred and five, the average atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration increased 0.6 percent over the high in two hundred and four, representing the largest annual increase ever recorded, according to the Washington-based Worldwatch Institute. In addition, an estimated twenty percent of the world’s coral reefs had been destroyed, as with twenty percent of mangrove forests. It takes 20 trees to keep one baby in disposable diapers for two years. The average life span of a cell phone is only 14 months. Every day, our planet receives enough solar energy to heat every home in the world for one year – free! "Heal the world," urges multi-awarded singer Michael Jackson. "Make it a better place, for you and for me and the entire human race." But how ? There are many things people can do to help clean up this world we are living such as saving energy , water , paper , reuse funiture before throw them away and avoide most plastic , etc. Many tasks – like reading, writing, studying, and sewing – can be done quite comfortable by the light of a window. And using daylight offers twin benefits: It’s free and doesn’t pollute. Don’t leave the water running. A full gallon of water can run out of your kitchen faucet in less than sixty seconds! Turn off the water when brushing teeth. That will save one to two gallons of water each time your brush. . Don’t use disposable razors and blades. Since the razors are made of plastic, not only do they consume high quantities of energy and toxic chemicals during their manufacture, they don’t degrade in landfill. Use glass dishes and cups and metal silverware instead of plastic. In fact, avoid buying anything that’s plastic unless it’s extremely durable, you can use it many times over, and you have no other option. Recycle used ribbons, bows, and decorative wrappings. If you take care when people’s unwrapping their presents, they can reuse the wraps at least one time. They can store used paper and accessories in a convenient place so that they can use them for the next holiday occasion. If people can’t recycle something, they should reuse it. Buy products that will last. With plastic and glass bottles, don’t throw them away. Use them to hold leftovers in the kitchen, to hold paper clips in the office… And man can buy biodegradable products, avoid most plastics, if possible by choosing paper instead of plastic. Thus, the Earth is hurt. Certainly, the Earth is good place to live for human. However, it is only for human. We should think about other creatures and keep the Earth healthy. We should make the Earth a better place to live for every creatures and the Earth itself. “There are ways to get there” , croons Michael Jackson. “ If you care enough for the living , make a little space , make a better place” .

CAN YOU BELIEVE THEY WON’T LET WOMEN BECOME SEALS!?
I WAS TOLD YESTERDAY BY THE NAVY RECRUITER THAT I CANNOT BECOME A SEAL JUST BECAUSE I AM A WOMAN! I AM JUST AS TOUGH AS ANY MAN IN HERE. I COULD PROBABLY TAKE HALF OF YOU GUYS DOWN IN 2 MINUTES! I’M LIVID HERE! Do i have any recourse? Like writing a letter to my congressman or suing the living daylights out of those motherf*ckers!?

Would anybody buy my novel if I published it?
Okay I am fifteen years old and I have written a novel about a romantic/horror. My two main characters are Dismay and Jareth. Dismay wakes up one mourning to find a moon in the the sky. Now this is something she has never seen before. And to her amazement it was impossible to see the moon during daylight hours. So her friend, Alera sends an alert to the "Help Committee" which is her form of government. Well when she takes a shower the steam in the bathroom smells different to her. Apparently the change in scent was knock-out gas. A year goes by and during this year over one thousand modifications have been made to her body. The lady she meets in a white coat; who I named Dr. White, just dumps all this information on to her. And so Dr. White gives her the option to find a vampire and bring him back with her. If she is successful Dr. White will give her that one year she had lost, back to her. Well Dismay falls in love with this vampire, ( oh and by the way one of those modifications turned Dismay into a vampire) and doesn’t know what to do. Because now she is married and has fallen deeply in love with Jareth. Well she makes the wrong choice and that causes the love of her life to die. And the final question that Dismay asks herself is "Can I live with this?" I’ve already written the first three chapters of my next book and I can kind of see where it’s going. And my parents are willing to invest 10,000 dollars to have this published. If I want I can go look for an agent and have this professionally published by a well known publisher.

Need help with an urban fox hunting our chickens.?
We live in the burbs and bought 5 hens a year ago. Up until March of this year we have had no problems, but we now have a fox that knows the chickens are there and even comes late in the morning well after sunrise and early in the evening before the sun has even thought about setting. It has killed 3 out of the 5 hens so far and one of the two that are left has a broken foot from the attack just today. We have been trying to lock them up in time at night so he cant get to them, but sometimes we aren’t fast enough. The coop is good. I built it strong, so no worries there. We have called animal control and have had no help. It also kind of worries us because of our kids and the neighbor kids that live around us all playing outside with this thing coming in broad daylight and it has no fear. The first attack it killed one of the hens and still tried to get around my wife and I to get at the rest while we were rounding them up. I built a home made crossbow, but that is going to take a close and accurate shot to down the thing since discharging a .22 or anything bigger would bring the cops a knocking. I was just wondering if anyone knew of anything else we could try to ward it off. We thought about getting a rooster, but we don’t know how effective it will be, plus it might piss off the neighbors. Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks!

Where’s a good place to toke up that no one will find?
it’s broad daylight and my dad is home. I would go out for a walk in the park but… like I said, it’s broad daylight. normally when I smoke during the day I go to this little nook in my backyard where no one can look over the fence or anything, but like I said my dad is home and he would probably smell it or see me out the window. I live in a pretty suburban area so there aren’t many groupings of trees or anything too near my home. are there any places that you like to go toke up where you know you probably won’t be seen? or I am just screwed until I get a better opportunity?

Cap and Trade etc — Is it worth it?
A congressman put it pretty good. She said that even if you grant the enviro-nuts that global warming is happening and that all the changes they want to make will do what they say it will do. OK with me? So cap and trade, running the coal business out of bussiness, making cars more unsafe but lighter, taxing the living daylights out of all forms of productive activity will amount to a grand total of one half of one percent of a reduction in the planet’s CO2 (emissions). So what is that going to do really? Will that make any difference at all? Will this infinitesimal difference be worth making the United State of America a third world country like France?
make that a pretty congresswoman.

could this be an orb? i don’t know what to think.?
we live in a 2 year old house that we built on land that used to be an orchard and has since been made into a subdivision. for the last 6 months my husband (he just admitted this recently) has been seeing a moving point of light. it looks like an l.e.d. light that is white with a blueish tint. it moves, not really fast, but it moves horizontally for about a foot or two. he’s seen it 4 times (once during the daylight), and i just saw it myself a week ago. then a couple of nights ago i saw a green flash of light right after i turned the tv off and laid the remote down on the night stand. it was really bright, i turned on the light to see if there was a phone or some kind of electronic that would make that bright flash but there was nothing there. my husband also felt something touch his foot over the blankets while he slept one day (he works overnights as a police officer and sleeps during the day.)

Why does my chest and neck get itchy in the heat?
Hi,
I live in AZ and now that the weather has hit 110 degrees I’m noticing a very uncomfortable itching sensation whenever I go out into the heat, even if it’s just a quick walk from my air conditioned car to another air conditioned building. The skin on my neck (both front and back) and chest (the width of my collar bone and length of my breast bone) gets horribly itchy, it’s almost painful and scratching does not relieve it. I’m not sure if it has to do with direct sun exposure or not- the back of my neck is rarely exposed to the sun- but it does tend to occur during daylight hours, which might just contribute to the heat. Anyways, does anyone know what this is? Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks,

crazy story! dog attacked by man!?
this mans lab jumped the fence into the neighbors yard and the neighbors Chihuahua and the lab were playing. nobody was getting to rough all the sudden the Chihuahuas owner went ballistic and ran into the backyard with a knife and stabbed the lab in the but narrowly missing the spine. the labs owner came out to get his dog and saw the other man trying to land a second blow and screamed at him to stop. crazy guy ran into his house and left the wounded dog and owner as well as his own dog outside. the labs owner rushed him to the vet and got him stitches and is planning to press charges. this is a true story i heard from the man while he was calling the police in petsmart as they were sewing his lab up. i would probably have hauled off and beat the living daylights out of the other owner and then forced him into a mental hospital were he belongs! animal abuse is a gateway crime who would have been next? if ppl think he was worried about his own dog then think ..he left it outside with lab and other owner plus the lab wasnt attacking the smaller dog because the two dogs had been allowed to play before with owners present and not. what are your thoughts on all of this?
sry bout the double post im experiencing some com trouble today
me and several ppl in petsmart tried to comfort the guy he thought his buddy was gonna die! luckily the vets said he should be perfectly fine :) its the trauma from the attack they are worried about
thats just it the dog WASNT a strange dog these ppl arranged playdates with their pets
the cops took the side of the man with the lab by the way
yeah their is a vet in my petsmart:) i think its banfield? i dont use them.

And if he was here on a holiday and got bitten by a bluering octopussy, would Bondi? If not, would he gets badly illawarra? Do you think he would refuse to go to hospital because he is too Manly for that? Would Alice Spring to action and advise M? What would didgeridoo in this situation?

"The new 007 films have become too violent, says veteran James Bond actor Roger Moore. Are you good at James Bond/spy trivia and can make up questions?
(cross-posted to relevant topics)
I am involved with an activity that involves trivia questions. The theme is 007 (expanded to include the spy genre). I am not the greatest source of spy trivia, so I thought I would tap some knowledgeable folks on this. If you can think up some great spy trivia games, I’d love to use them. I just need a question, four answers, the correct answer in asterisks (placed first, if possible), and a number from 1 to 10 indicating how difficult you think it is. This can be related to movies, books, or current events. I’ll post a few examples of the format I’d like to see: James Bond is said to have a "license to…"
*kill* lie seduce spy
(1) In the Prisoner, what is the name of the creature that recovers escapees?
*Rover* Fido Spot Scraps
(8) In what year did the Watergate scandal break-in occur?
*1972* 1970 1971 1973
(3) If you can help me out with this, I’d really appreciate it.

Storyline

Plot Summary:In this film, muckraker Michael Moore turns his eye on George W. Bush and his War on Terrorism agenda. He illustrates his argument about how this failed businessman with deep connections to the royal house of Saud of Saudia Arabia and the Bin Ladins got elected on fraudulent circumstances and proceeded to blunder through his duties while ignoring warnings of the looming betrayal by his foreign partners. When that treachery hits with the 9/11 attacks, Moore explains how Bush failed to take immediate action to defend his nation, only to later cynically manipulate it to serve his wealthy backers’ corrupt ambitions. Through facts, footage and interviews, Moore illustrates his contention of how Bush and his cronies have gotten America into worse trouble than ever before and why Americans should not stand for it.

"Fahrenheit

its the one in Fahrenheit 9/11, where everyone was egging the car, and he had to speed off. im doing a presentation in class and ive been searching youtube for an hour

Main points given in the movie Fahrenheit 9/11?
I learned these points:
The fact Bush sent only 11,000 troops into Afghanistan to supposedly go after the man who admitted responsibility for the murder of almost 3,000 US citizens? There are more police officers working in Manhattan, New York than there were when Bush sent them after bin Laden.
The fact that Bush had plans to invade Iraq even before he was "elected" in 2000 and used the attacks on Sept 11 to do so?
The fact that no Congressman who voted for the Patriot Act actually READ the bill before signing it into law? But I need some more agruments that the movie surfaced on. Any ideas? Thanks.
This debate is old? Obviously, if you have troops stantioned in the Middle East, this war on oil is…um… I dont know, still current.
It’s all relevant.

Which Documentary Film Is Better? The Obama Deception or Fahrenheit 9/11?

good, but also funny documentaries?
Ive already seen super size me, religious, sicko, bowling for columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11. LOVED religius btw anyothers?

Fahrenheit 9/11 movie free online?
YES, I KNOW THIS IS "ILLEGAL." But I need to watch it for a school project and all copies are checked out at the library. It was on youtube a couple days ago but all English copies have been taken down from what I can find. My parents extremely disagree with this movie and having to use their card to rent it at Blockbuster is pretty much out of the question. Anyone know a site?

Where Can I see a free movies without paying?
I wanna see Fahrenheit 9/11 and other movies.

Any good or funny documentaries to watch?
i love watching documentary movies but i can’t find any that are funny and worth watching I already watched
super size me
super high me
Fahrenheit 9/11
simply raw
and more but i can’t remember i was trying to find this one documentary about these two guys traveling around the US trying to make low budget movie……or this other movie about these 18 year olds trying to become the mayor …………well i forgot the names for these movies so if anyone know the names of these movies or can give me good funny documentays to watch i really appreciate it

Didn’t George W. Bush deserve an Oscar for being that dummy in Fahrenheit 9/11?

Can someone give me examples of Fahrenheit 9/11 being factually incorrect?
I asked a question which featured this film, and got a lot of answers claiming that the film is propaganda and factually flawed. Could someone advise me where in the film it gets the facts wrong? Links or sources would be appreciated PS, simply saying you don’t agree with or like Michael Moore isn’t any kind of answer

Why do thought provoking, intelligent films (Fahrenheit 9/11, Syriana) about the Middle East get panned…?
…yet films like The Deer Hunter or Black Hawk Down, which portray the USA as some kind of bravado-and-angst hero, make millions at the box office? Is it the final confirmation that the population has been dumbed down to such an extent that we’re too stupid to actually think for ourselves anymore?
why don’t people like me?; thank you for proving my point beautifully. Do your knuckles scrape on the ground at all?
Lots of people are labelling Fahrenheit 9/11 as leftist propaganda and factually incorrect…perhaps you would care to explain HOW it is factually incorrect?
william c; again, you fail to provide evidence or examples that the 2 films I lsited were full of lies & propaganda. Yet what you refer to as entertainment is PURE propaganda (USA=good, everyone else=bad)

Storyline

Plot Summary:High powered lawyer Claire Kubik finds her world turned upside down when her husband, who she thought was Tom Kubik, is arrested and is revealed to be Ron Chapman. Chapman is on trial for a murder of Latin American villagers while he was in the Marines. Claire soon learns that to navigate the military justice system, she’ll need help from the somewhat unconventional Charlie Grimes; meanwhile, Claire’s sister, Jackie, is falling in love with wet-behind-the-ears Lieutenant Embry assigned as the official defense lawyer. And most of the eyewitnesses have rather too conveniently died.

I am from NJ and now reside in Atlanta. Some people may get pissed but I hate it here. The weather isn’t so great. It actually snows here. Shocker lol! I find the people are kinda rude and traffic SUCKS! I moved here because I heard sooooooooo many great things about it. Don’t get me wrong its a great place to visit for a few days but to live here is a whole other story. Not to mention the crime here is thru the roof!!!!!!!! Needless to say I am ready to get out of here. I am looking to relocate. I don’t want to be in the south anywhere. I am looking for a place with a great night life, plenty of high tech jobs, culture, and great schools. I don’t want to do TX(great state but already lived there) or Cali(to exspensive) Helppppppppppppppppp.

Open Question: Can anyone explain how is it possible that Cheney is still talking on public TV?
Can anyone let me know why an anti-American who defends torture is talking on TV while he should be talking to his cellmate friends in a high security prison (for war crimes)?

Open Question: Obama has committed TREASON ! Would you defend this "scum bag" (Obama)..?
On 10/13/2000, "17" US Navy Sailors were murdered by Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri; who is currently lounging around at GITMO in Cuba… Barry Soetoro (AKA, Barack Hussein Obama) AKA, "C in C" has decided to NOT prosecute this "murderer"… by making that decision, "Barry" has in fact violated his "Oath of Office" and in doing so is giving "aid and comfort to the enemy"… a direct crime of TREASON against the United States Constitution, Art. III Sec.3 and USC title 18 sec.2381.
Obama needs to be arrested and prosecuted for his "High Crimes" and misdemeanors and if found guilty, exicuted according to Constitutional Law. What say you…?.
Ciaron D: it doesnt matter what the FBI thinks ! …it was "Barry" that gave him the "aid and comfort" !
Bill: …take a breath…take some time and read the question and the statment again….slowly.

Open Question: If the CIA lied to Pelosi, why is OBAMA doing nothing to vett out these criminals and restore public trust?
The CIA has—according to Nancy Pelosi—committed a high crime, and yet there is no movement by anyone to exact justice. Surely someone needs to pay if in fact the CIA has lied to congress. And if they didn’t, then surely someone should pay for making reckless charges? Are we to interpret Obama’s lack of action to investigate and restore public confidence as an indication that he simply dismisses Pelosi’s charge as an outright lie that does not require any action to restore public confidence in our institutions. Either Pelosi is lying, or the CIA is—its Obama’s CIA and more importantly his Department of Justice. Someone needs to pay.

Open Question: Do you think Ted Kennedy suffers guilt, leaving Mary Jo Kopechne to drown, to protect his political ambition?
Now that Ted is near the end of his life, there are questions remaining about his past; news stories that he has attempted to apologize for killing Mary Jo Kopechne, are recently out. 1) Do you think Ted feels any guilt or remorse for bullying the Kopechne family and manipulating the prosecutors from charging him with felony manslaughter & DUI & leaving the scene of a fatal accident ? Ted never spent a night in jail for the crime that any other American would have done 20 years in prison. 2) Knowing that Mary Jo could have been saved, if Ted went to a nearby house, to phone rescue workers, instead of leaving the scene to sober up, does that crime bother Teddy? Does he have any conscience? Does his ambition justify his crime, in his own mind? 2) Will Ted go to heaven for his legacy of raising the minimum wage for high school students OR does leading a selfish life, alcoholism, adultery, hard drug usage, helping his nephew escape justice for raping an innocent woman, secretly funding the IRA to bomb and murder innocent English civilians, do these sins affect his chances of going to heaven? Have you ever wondered how all Teddy’s sins, failures, cheating, crimes, selfishness, hurting innocent people has not affected his standings as one of the brightest stars within the democratic party? Only Sen Byrd, former leader of the KKK, has a longer history as senior democratic senator- what does this say about liberal leaders? Is Teddy’s commitment to socialism worth all his crimes and wrong-doings? http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/2009/05/19/2009-05-19_kennedy_could_not_find_words_to_confess_kopechne.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chappaquiddick_incident

Open Question: When should high gas prices be considered criminal theft?
As gas prices start racing back towards $5.00 per gallon, for the summer travel season, with gas prices, in Springfield Illinois already above $2.50 per gallon, When should rising gas prices be considered a felony (or criminal) act? How would you suggest that Congress, and President Obama, deal with this crime? What can be done, to the profiteering oil trillionairres? I have returned to putting the anti-gas price motto: Save Your Gas Money Cycling is M-u-c-h Cheaper back on my transport. What other suggestions do people have, for dealing with Felony gas Price Gouging/Profiteering?

Open Question: Is peace even possible between Islam and the West?
I shudder at the thought that Islam and the West cannot find some kind of peaceful co-existence. Let me say right from the beginning that I am not a supporter of Israel and that I think US support should end immediately. I dislike Palestinians. Dancing joyously in the streets over the bombing of the Twin Towers was barbaric. The extraordinary lie that the Jews did it was corrected by Osama Bin Laden himself, who claimed responsibility. Is the news in that part of the world so censored that ordinary Muslims did not know of this? Yet despite my dislike for Palestinians, my Goddess, (yes, Goddess) tells me that I must love even people I dislike, and that hatred is a sin. Surely the Koran also says that hatred is a sin. Therefore I am sympathetic with the hardships of Palestinians (as well as the hardships of Jews). My own solution is for the USA to buy the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt, give it to the Palestinians, and give them lots of aid to develop the new country. I would also make Jerusalem an international city run by city council members and a mayor.
In addition, the war against Iraq was totally immoral. President Bush, that war criminal, fed us so many lies that most people believed that Al Qaeda and Iraq were working together to use WMD. This was debunked before the war started. Bush was eager to prove to his father that he could take out Saddam Hussein, and so he launched a pre-emptive war, something that Nazis do. Unlike most Americans I am a student of history. I am well aware that Muslim scientists in the early medieval period made many advances in astronomy, algebra, geography, surgery and medicine. Muslims invented hospitals and took much better care of the insane. In the West at the same time the insane were whipped and chained The Islamic world was introduced to gunpowder and paper making by the Chinese, and passed it on directly to the West. Thus Islam was ahead of the West until the Renaissance.
Both Muslim theologians and Christian theologians grappled with the problem of the doctrine of revealed truth (scripture) vs. discovered truth (science). The Paris dons out-argued the Papacy, and the dual approach to truth was allowed to continue. This did not happen in the Muslim world. There Islam withdrew from science, especially physics. It has been trying to catch up ever since. One of the weaknesses here is the Muslim belief that there is no cause and effect – that everything that happens is a spontaneous expression of God’s will.
Here we have insane religious fanatics vigorously fighting the teaching of evolution in high schools, because evolution isn’t mentioned in the Bible. The Vatican says that this is an old fight and that it is very possible that God chose to set up natural laws that operate here as natural selection. This is a very reasonable compromise between faith and science.
I am able to profoundly dislike Israel without hating Jews, and so on with people throughout the world. I detest the entire Abrahamic tradition – Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all cut from the same Middle Eastern cloth. I despise the Christians here we call Fundies, because they believe the word of the Bible is inerrant, despite its many and significant contradictions. They piously speak of God’s mysteries and choose to ignore the contradictions and lies in the Bible. These people are guilty of worshiping an idol, i.e. a book. This is called bibliolatry. I accuse Muslims of the same thing. It astounds us that people in the Muslim world are so willing to riot and kill when someone in the West harms a written copy of the Koran. I can go anywhere in the West and burn a Bible if I choose. I might get a ticket for violating local fire ordinances, but I wouldn’t be prosecuted for blasphemy or sacrilege anywhere. In the West these are no longer crimes. This is due to an important historical movement called the Enlightenment, in which philosophers and scientists realized that the Churches were a direct obstacle to make human life easier and healthier through science. The American Revolution was a secular revolution, designed to create a country free of the dictates of popes, cardinals, bishops, priests, nuns, monks, prophets and so on. The French Revolution was even more thorough along these lines and if Napoleon had won, priests would have been forever subject to State authority. Sounds good to me. You people seem to love theocracies. We have a long memory of the horror of the Catholic theocracy.
Speaking of theocracies, I was so infuriated by the fatwah of Ayatollah Khomenei to kill Salman Rushdie – how dare he!? – that I wanted to assassinate him myself. We Americans despise all the Ayatollahs. I was in Iran in 1975. The people were friendly, Teheran was a beautiful and cosmopolitan city. Everyone knew that the Shah was a dictator, but he was benevolent, and he was far better for Iran than any of the Ayatollahs have been.
Muslims are very quick to blame the USA and Europe for every act of vi

Open Question: What’s are some of the best places to live on Earth, where living is cheap, crime low, but life is luxurious?
Hi! I know that there are many people in Yahoo Answers from different walks of life, who have traveled to many places, and come from many different countries. So, what are some good places on Earth to live, where there is low crime, low expenses, good atmosphere, and luxurious life for an average oil and gas worker. I know, that many of you would probably say Middle Eastern Arab countries, but aside from that. For instance, I have been to Greece, and Italy, and the people that live on rent have nice places, that would be so expensive in Canada. Also, the French seem to be so happy, and have peaceful lives. United Kingdom on the other hand is very crowded, and expensive. I also hear Morocco is a place where the expenses are cheap, so people have lot’s of savings. The crime is high in this country though. South Africa is luxurious, but dangerous. Cuba is nice. I am done ranting, and please forgive me if I offended anyone. From your personal knowledge, and experiences, what place or country do you think gives you an easier lifestyle, where people are happy? I am not cheap or anything, but was wondering this so I could live happier and have more time to enjoy instead of working to pay debts. No rude comments. Thank you.

Resolved Question: What’s the cop throwing under the car?
This is a link to the CNN video of the five cops who (I admit I laughed out loud) kicked an unconscious man’s butt after a high-speed chase. At the very beginning of the video, though, a cop throws something onto the street for the van to drive over. Is it some sort of tire-deflation mechanism (spikes)? The van I think avoids it by hitting the cop, and then you can tell by the camera direction, the camera car drives "around" this black device also (probably trying to avoid hitting his fellow cop again lol). http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/05/20/alabama.police.beating/index.html?iref=mpstoryview

"Godsend"/

I’m pretty much in love with a girl (her name is jay)… and she has a girlfriend. she admits that her girlfriend makes her feel lonely and treats her like she’s nothing. but jay thinks that she deserves it, or that she was just meant to be walked all over.
but i need her to know that i won’t treat her that way. there’s so much that i could say about her. she’s so incredibly amazing and different.. unlike any girl i’ve ever met in my life. everything she says to me is like a godsend… and it sucks that she can’t see it.
help?

What exactly is a Godsend – does God have his own postal service company?

dummy question (pacifiers)?
hello all, iv borrowed a laptop whilst house sitting for my auntie yay, its so gr8 to be on yahoo without the fear of being shouted at at work lol. anyway, i was wondering on ur thoughts on dummies for babies? in my family my cousins (who are all alot younger than me) had dummies up untill they were 6 and even 8. this i believe is waaaayyy 2 far and i would never allow it to get to that stage. i know dummies are bad for teeth but i have also been told that whenur baby is screaming u would chop ur own arm off to soothe them, let alone allow them a dummy. my questions are: did/does ur child have a dummy
did u find it a godsend
was it hard to wean them off it
at what age did u try and ‘loose’ the dummy or did u wait untill they were ready? thanks all xxx

Which song is better (original vs. remix edition)?
Song #1: The first song is "One Little Indian" by Little Indian ft. The Foreigner. This is the only song I’ve ever heard by either of these rappers (though I did just look it up and apparently Little Indian was on a track with Karneige and Atari Blitzkrieg last year). It was released in 1995 and was produced by Hitman Howie Tee (who I was surprised to see yesterday that this section isn’t very familiar with) and had two great remixes by Buckwild and Jay Dee. ** If anybody knows where I can find that track with Little Indian from last year, could you email me a link. It’s called "Dark Water" and it’s on a compilation called March of the Godsends. I’d appreciate it. Original – produced by Howie Tee

How to occupy an 8 week old?
I am a first time mum and have an 8 weeks old son I am finding it quite difficult keeping him occupied now he is a little bigger I try playing with him on his playmat and with toys and singing to him but after a little bit he starts getting frustrated me and my partner have found he really enjoys sitting in his bouncer chair with the baby channel on because he likes all the colours and the music it is a godsend in the mornings when i am trying to get all his bottles and everything ready. When i pick him up i can see him trying to look back around at the t.v I sit down with him and watch it and tell him what things are. Am i doing the wrong thing by letting him watch the telly so young??
i should prob add i dont just sit him infront ofthe telly all day i prob sound like some dreadful person. We go out for walks everyday due to having a dog. I was carrying him round everywhere with one them harnesses but the mid wife told me off because i had a section.I like the swimming idea thanks for the ideas. :-)

Should I add him on facebook?
So there is this guy in one of my classes that i have had a small crush on for the past few weeks. today was our final, and i will probably never see him again. We were "friends" in class. like we talked everyday, and stuff like that. but we never exchanged phone numbers or anything.
so, like a godsend, today after my final he came up on my "people you may know" on facebook.
Should i add him as a way to keep in contact?
the reason why i’m nervous to is because i have a crush on him. he does have a girlfriend. i dont know if it would be weird that i added him since we’re not /that/ great of friends..

Need to read a really hard Victorian Novel.?
I have trouble reading and analyzing Victorian prose. So, I need a very difficult novel that might help me improve my skills. Emphasis on "difficult read." Do you guys have any suggestions? Also, if you have any popular Victorian essayists, that would be godsend. I don’t like reading Oscar Wilde’s essays. There ok… I’ve already read Under Western Eyes by Joseph Conrad.
They’re ok…* sorry for the mistake. I was "righting" very quickly.

How are Filipinos as husbands?
I noticed that most foreigners here are saying that their Filipino wives are godsend. I would agree on that. I find Filipinos very nice. How about the men? How are they as husbands?
Correct me if I am wrong, are their more Filipino women married to foreigners compare to Filipino men married to a different race? It seems that way. Just a thought.

Using 401K to buy first house?
I have a 401K from a previous job that has been rolled over to an IRA. Home prices are so cheap now that I can get a decent house for about 30 – 35K in my area. I don’t have a good job anymore (just a part-time one so I doubt I’d qualify for anything decent in terms of loans), so I’d like to money from my 401K to buy a house – then I wouldn’t have to pay anything except for taxes, insurance, and other living expenses. This could save me approximately $500-$600 per month, which would be a godsend right now. My plan is to take that money and automatically funnel it into an account to pay off some debts and also to start replenishing my portfolio. While I’m sure that I’ll make more money down the road, now, things are pretty tight and might be in the near future. Is it wise for me to use the money this way? Any advice? BTW – I’m a first-time homebuyer. Thanks!

The Perfect Murder By A Teenage boy?

i have a couple ideas for a screen play could you tell me if they are good?
well basically the first takes place in iraq with a faithful husband knowing he will die sending home a letter telling his wife to move on, the wife finds it hard to do but eventually finds someone els. the problem is she has found someone els and she loves him just as much as her other husband, and her kids know him just as much a father as the one before, and she has a son and daughter by the second husband. now here is the "conflict" the second husband is black, and the wife and first husband are white. now while this "conflict" s never addressed throughout the play it can be seen by anyone and it is still there. the second and main one is she and her second husband die old and happy. and they both go to heaven, were the first husband is waiting. now she is torn between two lovers, she would like nothing more than to be with both of them, but she knows she can only choose one, but who? the second is driving miss daisy but the driver is white and miss daisy is black.

What’re Really Bad Pitch Ideas for Movie Sequels?
Time to get creative & funny :) Find a movie list. Your own personal one, or one online. Find movies you’ve seen that Don’t have sequels & make one up for it. Give a title & a brief synopsis. Have fun :) mine: "Shawkshank Redemption 2": Former prisoner "Red" (Morgan Freeman)- gambles all the money he was left & winds up back in the slammer. Things go downhill from there… "To Kill Another Mockingbird"- Atticus’ 2 kids grow up as lawless hoods & go on a senseless killing spree. Can Atticus save them before supper? "Driving Miss Daisy Again"- Fed up with being cooped up in an old folks home, Miss Daisy plots a daring escape w/ her driver & plans to open a car wash.
Sup, rj! :)
Always good to see you Prof!

i don’t know of this body horror movie i used to own?
the movie was probably made in the 1980’s it’s about aliens that crashed into earth in the woods in the 60’s? a group of teenager’s went to investage it was a spaceship. the cockpit then opens. I can’t remember the rest but i do remember their were 4 teens. Two guy’s and two girl’s. they have the aliens in them. i also remember in the last part that some guy get’s runned over by a train but he did not completely die he get’s reborn and his body rebuilds to new it reminded me of hellraiser 1. The cover the movie box has some creature that looks like crang from the ninja turtles cartoon if i remember? this movie is not a cartoon. It’s like one of those live movies like jason goes to hell or dawn of the dead.
